Services
Do you do the work for me or do I have to do it myself?
Either.
The best results come when our clients are closely involved in the process, however we are happy to do the work for you.
If you want to downsize the amount of things you own your presence will be required to choose what to keep and what to get rid of.
Will you clean my house too?
Yes & No.
We do not provide traditional cleaning services or deep cleaning services.
However, as we sort through your things and reorganize them we sometimes empty out spaces like cabinets and closets. During this time we can help you clean the storage space we’re working on before putting things back.
Do you work with a team?
No.
You will be working one-on-one with Chris Beers, the founder and lead advisor of Home Joy.
I don't live in the Lower Hudson Valley in New York State or Northern New Jersey, how can I work with you?
We offer virtual consulting via telephone and video chat and we travel internationally.
Payment
How do you take payment?
Cash, check, credit, mobile (Venmo, PayPal, Quickbooks).
Do you offer payment plans?
No.
If budget is of particular concern for you the 5-hour package is the way to go. Learn more about pricing.
Can you give more examples of how the hours I purchase will be used?
Every project is different but below are a few examples:
A busy mother of 3 might use 5 hours every 2-3 weeks.
Someone with low physical mobility or ADHD might use 2-5 hours every week.
A single, young professional might use 2.5 hours at the beginning of the project and 2.5 hours at the end.
Someone with a lower budget might schedule a 1 hour video chat to get started and a weekly 20 minute phone call to stay on task.
Someone organizing a single space like a closet might use 5 hours to get a plan and to get some help breaking the ice at the beginning.
Remember: When you purchase a package of hours from us you get unlimited text messaging. We’ll text you between sessions to ensure you stay on task.
Policies
Do you have a refund policy?
No.
All payments are non-refundable.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Sessions cancelled within the 48 hour timeframe before they are to be held will not be refunded.
This does not include extenuating circumstances like illnesses and family emergencies.
Miscellaneous
Are you certified?
Yes. Chris Beers is the person you will be working with if you work with us. Chris is a Certified KonMari® Consultant.
This means he is certified to help people do The KonMari Method®, which was created by Marie Kondo. You might have heard about this method from the Netflix Series, “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.”
